About Checkers
Checkers is a free classic board game for two players. Move diagonally, jump to capture, and crown kings on the far row. Play vs a friend on the same device or take on the CPU.
How to play Checkers
- Move your pieces diagonally on the dark squares.
- Jump over an opponent's piece to capture it — captures are mandatory when available.
- If you can keep jumping after a capture, you must continue with the same piece.
- Reach the opposite end row to crown a king, which moves and captures backward too.
- Win by capturing all enemy pieces or leaving your opponent with no legal move.
Tips & strategy
- Control the center early — it opens more jump paths.
- Don't leave pieces exposed on the edge without support.
- Trade pieces when you're ahead on the board.
- Kings are powerful — protect them and use their backward mobility.
