About Nine Men's Morris
Nine Men's Morris is a free classic board game you can play online. Place and move men on a lined board, form mills to remove opponents, then fly when you're down to three. Play online with a friend, locally, or vs the CPU.
How to play Nine Men's Morris
- Each player has nine men. Alternate placing them on empty points.
- After all men are placed, slide along the lines to adjacent empty points.
- Form a mill (three in a row) to remove one opponent man (not from a mill if possible).
- With only three men left, you may fly to any empty point.
- Win by reducing your opponent to two men or leaving them with no legal moves.
Tips & strategy
- Aim for double mill setups that force a remove every turn.
- Block your opponent's two-in-a-row before they close a mill.
- In the flying phase, stay flexible — empty space is your weapon.
- Don't over-concentrate; mobility often beats a single locked mill.
